Alicia loves art and design, natural landscapes, finding wild edible and medicinal plants, while walking around the Potomac river valley and Appalachia. Over the past ten years, she has had multiple farming jobs and internships all on small scale, diverse, organic sustainable farms and attended the Stone Soup Institute in Maine. Through those experiences, she learned about holistic grazing, draft powered logging, animal husbandry, seed saving, plant and tree I.D. and got to dabble in agrarian arts; such as fiber arts, food preservation, metal working and wood working. In 2016, she earned her certificate for the REX10: a ten day intensive course on regenerative land management taught by Regrarians Darren J. Doherty. She is passionate about our Appalachian landscape and is committed to healing the land through the work she does every day. She is able to bring a lot of knowledge to the Sustainable Solutions team, and is excited to learn even more through this experience!
